The price might be pricey, but the portion is rather big that can shared by 2 person. The mushroom soup is average, sourdough spread with avocado, mushroom is good. The desserts overall are good. We enjoy those especially the chocolate tarts, and mango cake. The place is airconed and comfortable.

Such a hidden gem! Layerbake House is a bit far from the city, but totally worth the drive. The food is healthy, fresh, and super tasty – you can really tell they care about the ingredients. I especially loved the cake – it’s soft, moist, and just the right amount of sweetness (not too sweet, which I really appreciate). The cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot to chill and unwind during low peak hour. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good and healthy food!

truffle mushroom sourdough pizza is super good. a lot of mushroom and cheese and it's super soft. lots of cheesecake options and sourdough bread for sale. coffee also nice. pricing affordable. might need to wait awhile for seats during lunch hour on weekends even though a lot of tables but the crowd is constantly filling up the seats.

Was quite empty during weekday when we visited the place. Ordered the pistachio cheesecake and black sesame crepes. The pistachio cheesecake had rich texture and strong pistachio taste which was very nice, but towards the end it became a bit too jelak even when shared between 2 persons. Black sesame taste was not bad. Good that both cakes were not too sweet. Kombucha tasted a bit too sour for us. Self service plain water was a plus!

Travelled out of the way to visit this cafe and it did not disappoint! Arrived on a Saturday morning around 11am and about half the cafe was full. All the food were amazing, especially the Seasalt Genmaicha and Earl Grey Burnt Cheesecake! Mushroom melt sourdough toast was good too. However the food took quite a while to come as I think they cook each dish one by one. Nonetheless, will visit again!

Came across this from other social media platform, thinking to give it a try since we're pistachio lover. Is about 30-40mins drive from JB sentral. Stuffs we ordered and here's my POV: 1. Pistachio cheesecake - definitely 5/5 Not sweet, pistachio taste just right, good texture 2. Dirty coffee 3.9/5 - so so standard latte can get better 3. Beef cheese ciabatta 5/5 - this was amazingly good. Tender beef, cheese and sauce was just right not overpowering each other 4. Rose lemon tea 4.5/5 - was good as the rose doesn't taste fake but I'm not a tea fan 5. Takeaway fish bagel 4.99/5 - slightly soggy as is takeaway but still tasted amazing with scrambled eggs, cheese and tartar sauce. Believe dining in would be even better as the fish would still be crunchy Price is slightly on the high side but we dint mind as food is served with quality. Despite the quite isolated location, this whole trip is definitely worth it.

Dropped by this cozy little café and was pleasantly surprised by the wide range of desserts — everything from layered cakes and cheesecakes to tarts and more. Perfect spot if you’ve got a sweet tooth! Tried the pistachio burnt cheesecake RM25.50 — creamy and not too heavy, though I do wish the pistachio flavour came through a bit more. The banoffee tart RM18.50 was a winner — rich, well-balanced, and just the right amount of sweetness, while dark chocolate ganache burnt cheesecake RM21.50 looked great, felt the flavour and combination didn’t quite hit the mark. Drinks-wise, white RM10, matcha latte RM14, and strawberry matcha RM18.50 were decent — nothing to shout about. But the homemade peanut butter latte RM16 was a pleasant surprise! Nutty, smooth, and really enjoyable — definitely worth trying if you're into flavoured coffee. This cafe surely is a treat-yourself spot, and heads up they don’t accept credit cards, so bring cash or use a local payment app.
